Honda's Formula 1 history began when the company took the plunge by creating its own car, developing its own engine, and fielding a factory team for the 1964 season. In 1966, new regulations mandating 3-liter engines forced Honda to design a new car, the RA273. John Surtees replaced Richie Ginther as Honda's lead driver in 1967, and an improved version showed promise by finishing third at the South African Grand Prix. This is an updated reissue of the 1/12 scale Honda RA273 kit (with photo-etched metal parts).
