The legendary Skyline GT-R was first recreated in 1969 and has won countless touring car races. Its name left a great void, as it disappeared from the models after 1973, only to find great success some 16 years later, in the spring of 1989. Also known as the R32, this version of the Skyline GT-R was equipped with a 280 hp DOHC biturbo inline-six engine, paired with torque distribution all-wheel drive, Super HICAS all-wheel steering and multi-link suspension: the pinnacle of technology for the time. Retaining its two-door coupe silhouette, it sported domed fenders, a front bumper with gaping air intakes, and a rear spoiler. It continued to dominate Group A racing, recording an impressive 29 consecutive victories in the Japanese Touring Car Championship between 1990 and 1993.
