In June 2014, to commemorate the withdrawal of operational service from its latest Mirage F1, the French Air Force donned four aircraft - three F1 CRs and a two-seater F1 B, with special decorations.
The three Mirage F1 CR (reconnaissance version) of Squadron 2-33 Savoie each sported one of three camouflage schemes worn by the Mirage F1 during their Air Force career (air defence blue, European grey/green and vanilla/chocolate Africa/Middle East) as well as rafters on drift and ventral keels. These three aircraft were reunited for a special celebration at the Base de Mont de Marsan in June 2014.

This kit allows to reproduce the choice of one of the three F1 CR that have put the final point to the career of this iconic aircraft of the Air Force.
The decals board specifically made for this special edition and printed by Cartograf has all the markings of the three devices, including drift rafters and ventral keels, which greatly facilitates the decoration of the model. A large-format colour decoration guide is provided for each device. 
New parts are provided for the large ventral tank (so-called "Iraqi") decorated with a shark's mouth on the gray/green version. All external loads and parts of the original F1 CT/CR kit are retained, offering the editor the alternative to a more operational CT or CR version.
