The Bigwig is back! This is the 2017 version of the 4WD shaft-driven buggy that was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Tamiya R/C models in 1986.
It features a number of improvements while largely retaining the classic design of the original. The body of the Tamiya The Bigwig 2017 (47330) is the one designed for the Bigwig 1986 by the famous Japanese designer Takuya Yura, still a classic today, and which features advanced aerodynamics.
The Bigwig is back! This is the 2017 version of the shaft-driven 4WD buggy, released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Tamiya R/C models in 1986. It features several improvements while largely retaining the classic design of the original. The bodywork is the one designed for the 1986 Bigwig by renowned Japanese designer Takuya Yura, still a classic today, and features advanced aerodynamics. The updated markings retain the spirit of the original Bigwig and include the Mooncraft logo of Yura's design company.
• Robust ABS bathtub frame • GT-Tuned engine (25 rpm) with sticker unique to this model. • 4x4 transmission by cardan shafts entirely on ball bearings. • Four-wheel independent suspension with constant volume hydraulic shock absorbers. • Rack and pinion steering (the only one of its kind on a Tamiya model) providing ultra-precise course changes. • Rubber bellows protect the steering rods. Anti-wear grease included to protect the mechanism from dust and gravel projections. • Lightweight and durable aerodynamic polycarbonate body. • Representation of the engine and exhausts in ABS plastic. • Decorative stickers redesigned in the spirit of the originals. • One-piece “Aerodish” rims fitted with “Oval Block” tires for optimal grip and traction. • 540 type motor included.
What changes compared to the original:
• GT-Tuned 25 rpm engine • For use with electronic dimmer (not included) • Anti-wear grease to protect the rack and pinion steering provided. • Stickers redesigned in the spirit of the originals.
