The body - inspired by the aquatic stingray of the natural world - is still a classic nearly 30 years after its original release in 1990; The body and large rear spoiler are molded from lightweight and durable polycarbonate. The 4WD chassis of this kit is based around a tub frame with a honeycomb rib pattern for excellent rigidity, and which also facilitates a low center of gravity thanks to a low mounting position for the battery. Its 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension uses CVA oil shocks, while the lightweight and durable hollow lower arms feature a smooth design to prevent dirt from sticking to it. The differentials are contained in sealed gearboxes, each with a quick-access maintenance hatch. The 3-piece tie rod provides precise response, and the tie rods make it easy to change the toe angle.
