P-47D Thunderbolt (Europe) model aircraft in 1/48 scale of Italeri reference 2835.

The American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt single-seat fighter-bomber was powered by a powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine of more than 2,000 hp allowing it to reach high speeds, especially at high altitudes. Extremely ruggedly designed, it was heavily armed with eight 12.7mm Browning M2 machine guns and could carry bombs and rockets to increase its offensive capability. The P-47 excelled in all types of missions: interception, bomber escort and especially ground attack. The latter skill was particularly exploited on the European front in 1944/45. This kit offers a choice of various aircraft liveries operating in Europe at the end of the 2nd G.M.
