EXTREME GROUND CLEARANCE
The TRX4 model scale model is a crawler originally equipped with transmissions offset from the wheel axles. This allows the transmission to be raised and increases ground clearance to avoid getting stuck on an obstacle. Compared to a conventional "straight" transmission, the tires are smaller for the same ground clearance. This increases stability by lowering the center of gravity.
The TRX-4 chassis is a step ahead of other crawler chassis.

TORQUE TORSION IS ELIMINATED
The raised transmission uses a reduction gear system at the wheel axle. This results in a reduction ratio twice that of a conventional transmission and significantly reduces torque-induced torsion. The torque of the TITAN 550 engine is transmitted entirely to the propulsion without losing energy to the system's torsion.

IMPROVED GEOMETRY
The axle geometry raises the axle carriers and re-centers the driveshafts, significantly reducing the suspension's working angles. This reduces the stress on the driveshafts, and the taller suspension links provide more clearance with less surface area to catch on rocks. The steering arms are raised and out of the contact zones.

RIGID METAL CHASSIS
A reinforced, ladder-shaped frame with cast crossmembers forms a rigid assembly allowing the suspensions to do their job as they should.
This difference will be felt on trails where the elimination of chassis flex will allow for precise wheel placement when traveling over technical terrain.

DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FROM TRANSMITTER
Depending on your driving needs, Traxxas lets you choose to lock or unlock the front and rear differentials through your transmitter. Leave the differentials unlocked for relaxed driving on a track with tight turns and improved handling at high speeds.
When the trail gets technical, lock both front and rear differentials or just the front differential for better grip on extreme terrain. This patented Traxxas design has proven its reliability in the past, as it already powers the Summit 1/10. New micro cables control the differential action with a scale appearance and without limiting the significant suspension articulation.

STEERING TRAVEL AT 45°
Conventional crawlers sacrifice their turning radius for traction. The TRX-4's remote-controlled differentials unlock to allow this 45° steering angle.
Once you have passed the obstacle, lock the differential to achieve optimal traction.

SHORT/LONG TRANSMISSION BOX
When the going gets rough, use the selector on the transmitter to shift into low-range 4WD for extra torque. Switch to high-range to gobble up obstacle-free trails. The suspension architecture is designed to absorb rough terrain with ease while maintaining a scale appearance.
This incomparable versatility allows the TRX-4 to adapt to all situations or types of driving.

MODEL ASPECT
The TRX-4 features the body of the legendary Land Rover Defender, complete with attention to detail for an authentic 4x4 driving experience. Traxxas added a real spare tire, a winch, and additional fuel cans. You can even attach accessories to the included roof rack. The rugged bumpers provide ample protection and are equipped with spare rings. The front bumper is designed to be equipped with a variety of off-road vehicle-compatible accessories.

INTERNAL MUDGUARDS
The scale details don't stop at the body. To prevent rocks, mud, and twigs from getting inside the chassis, Traxxas installed detailed fenders underneath the chassis that integrate with the scale appearance of the rocker panels and shock towers. The fenders are equipped with mounting holes for optional LED lighting to illuminate the track at night.
Spotlights are present where necessary. Internal fender guards protect against flying stones.

CRUISE CONTROL
The TQi radio system transmitter is equipped with cruise control for long-distance treks. Set your speed from your transmitter, then use the multi-function knob for fine-tuning to suit the explorer's caravan.
The cruise control system is easy and comfortable for the TRX-4 and will be your companion for hours of driving and exploring fun.

3S SPEED VARIATOR
The new XL 5 HV speed controller has 3S capability for more powerful and efficient movement.
New control profiles have been added for smooth and precise control. A new profile facilitates smooth steering during all your adventures, and a crawler profile allows for hill starts and instant reverse for difficult and technical terrain.
Each one will allow you to navigate obstacles with ease. Up to 2 hours of battery life is possible with the use of a Traxxas LiPo iD 3S 5000mAh pack.

CANYON 1.9 TRACK TIRES
The 1.9 Canyon Track tires, equipped with special foams, are extra soft and very grippy to provide superior attack on rocky passages with convincing realism. The 12mm steel wheel hexes allow the TRX-4 chassis to be compatible with many 1.9 wheel and tire combinations.

TRAXXAS STRENGTH
Leave your tools in your box. The Traxxas TRX-4 chassis is built to withstand the rigors of any terrain and give you all-day driving fun. The foundations of this chassis are made of two 1.5mm steel sidewalls, large diameter steel rods, large ball joints that keep the suspension firmly mounted, highly reliable steel CV axles, and a smooth and quiet transmission. Furthermore, over the past three decades, composite parts have been improved for strength and reliability.

GTS ALUMINUM SHOCK ABSORBERS
New hydraulic shock absorbers were designed exclusively for this TRX-4 chassis. These anodized aluminum components provide damping performance and feature threaded bodies for easy ride height adjustment. They are perfectly realistic and even more efficient thanks to the O-ring cap and double seals located at their base.

EXTREME CAPABILITIES
The front and rear approach angles allow the TRX-4 to absorb obstacles head-on. The front-mounted motor allows for weight distribution for better hill attack compared to other chassis designs.
