With the 203 presented at the 1948 Motor Show, Peugeot entered the era of modern post-war cars. Alongside the Traction and the Simca "Eight", it participated in the democratization of car tourism in the 1950s. Peugeot's reputation for robustness, already well established, became legendary with the 203. It even makes a Paris-Le Cap-Paris at an average of 60 km/h.
