Epoxy Glue 5min 2x 50g Kavan

Fast-curing, two-component, high-strength, premium clear epoxy adhesive.

This epoxy adhesive is transparent, very fast curing, resistant to fuels, solvents and vibrations, and easily sandable once cured. It does not become fragile over time. Ideal for bonding wood, fiberglass, carbon composites, aluminum, copper, steel, brass, concrete, glass, hard plastics, polystyrene foam, etc.

Thinner: S6300 epoxy thinner (using thinners increases curing time and reduces final joint strength – if you need a "freer" epoxy, use a low-viscosity laminating or finishing epoxy).

Use as sealant, suitable fillers

Microbeads, talcum powder, baby filler, diatomaceous earth, balsa or lime sawdust, chopped fiberglass.

Caution: Adding loads can reduce working time by up to 25% and (depending on the type and amount of load used) can reduce the strength of the seal.

Suitable for gluing

Softwood and hardwood, particleboard, plywood, metals, polystyrene foam, ceramic, porcelain, fiberglass and carbon laminates, fiberglass and carbon fibers and fabrics.

Not suitable for sticking

Soft and flexible plastics (including EPP and EPO), polyethylene, Teflon.

Storage

In a hermetically sealed container, in a cool, dry and dark place (between 10°C and 25°C).

Do not expose to temperatures below 10°C.

Be careful not to confuse resin and hardener plugs – even a small amount of hardener can alter large amounts of resin.

Lifespan

Under proper storage conditions, we guarantee a 1-year service life while maintaining the product properties mentioned above.

Practical experience shows that epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin retain their excellent properties for many years when stored correctly.

Note 1: The curing of the adhesive depends mainly on the ambient temperature; If you mix large amounts of resin at once (more than 20-30g), the curing can be much faster. To maintain a longer working time, it is advisable to cool the glue (e.g. in a water bath). This is due to the heat released during the reaction between the resin and the hardener, and also because the resin cures faster at higher temperatures.

Note 2: Epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin, which are initially transparent and quite fluid, can sometimes thicken ("curdle" like honey) and lose their transparency. This is due to exposure to low temperatures, humidity, or time. By gently heating in hot water (60–70°C) for a few minutes until the resin becomes clear again as a whole, you will find the resin "as good as new", with its original properties.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not breathe the fumes.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/goggles.

IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. DO NOT induce vomiting.

IN CASE OF CONTACT WITH SKIN (or hair): Remove all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash the skin with water or take a shower.

IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT: Rinse thoroughly with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue to rinse. Call a POISON CENTRE/doctor immediately.

Keep under lock and key.
